Benefits of massage for knee pain

A study of patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis looked at the effects of massage.  Those who received a 60-minute Swedish massage once or twice a week for two months reported less pain and improved knee function.  "Massage therapy appears to be effective," the researchers concluded.

Even in people whose knees feel good, massage increases serotonin, a natural pain reliever that reduces anxiety and promotes deep sleep.  Anyone facing stress in their knees, joints, or anywhere else can benefit from a relaxing massage
